Nearly a decade late the 31st October 2020 marks the opening of the brand new Berlin Brandenburg airport! Acquiring the ICAO from Berlin Schonefeld airport EDDB, Brandenburg takes on the responsibility for the only airport in Berlin after years of dual operations with Tegel. The old Schonefeld airport now becomes Terminal 5 with Terminal 1 opening in between the dual runways, with Terminal 2 to follow once demand requires. Berlin Tegal will close on Sunday 8th November 2020 with the last departure being an Air France A320, marking the first arrival when Tegal opened 60 years previously with an Air France flight from CDG. Join us for our Tegal Goodbye Group flight, full details can be found here: https://blog.ukvirtual.co.uk/new-group-flight-08-11-2020-1400/

I have completed the combination of schedules from Berlin Schonefeld and Berlin Tegel all into Berlin Brandenburg. The only schedule to remain out of Tegal is the Air France flight mentioned above, which will move to Brandenburg after the flight. Members are still free to fly in and out of Tegel on UK virtual using the charter mode option. For ultimate realism do check which terminal your airline uses at Brandenburg via the airports official website.

This is a long awaited airport opening for Berlin, we look forward to flying in and out via the virtual skies at UK virtual
