In a few weeks time we would have been enjoying the UK virtual annual meet up in Manchester. It goes without saying that our original plans had to be postponed until September 2020, and we were looking forward to seeing old and new faces later on this year.
The situation we find ourselves in has become more severe and lasted longer than we anticipated, at the time of postponement we could not have predicted the world wide effect of Covid 19 and the toll it has taken. Therefore with the medical advice, job losses and pay cuts, family commitments in mind we have taken the decision to cancel the in person UK virtual meetup 2020. We had some great plans for our meet up and are as disappointed that we are unable to enjoy them with our great members, but we will be back better than ever in 2021!
However! All is not lost. We are pleased to announce the “UK virtual – virtual meetup 2020” on the 4th/5th July. A weekend of events, shaped by our members, live on Discord. Please read below for the itinerary and for those who wish to attend, please fill in the survey linked below.

UK virtual group flight – 1400/1600
Our group flight will be decided by the members via the survey below and we aim to have as many members in the air together as possible! Can be flown online via Vatsim or offline all on Discord. Prize for the member who achieves the closest to -150fpm!
Aviation Pub Quiz – 2000/2100
Time to grab a beer and join us for our aviation pub quiz. 5 rounds of 10 questions all related to the aviation world we enjoy. Grab a pen and paper, write and mark your own answers and let us know how you did! There will be a tie breaker at the end where you can win a prize!
Twilight Party Games – 2200/2300
For those who haven’t had the pleasure of “Jackbox.tv”, our very own Ashley will be running an evening session of party games. Not for the faint hearted or snowflakes, think about Cards against Humanity but on Discord! Guaranteed laughs and shocks from the members you thought you knew well!
Sunday 5th July
RW Airbus Pilot Q&A – 1400/1500
We have the great and rare opportunity to host a Question and Answer session with a real world airbus pilot. Questions are to be submitted via the survey in advance, this is a great chance for you to ask anything you wish to know about the Airbus A320 Family. (This session may change at short notice due to work commitments by the host)
Feedback and Idea Seminar – 1500/1600
This is the opportunity for you as the member to speak to the directors on any ideas you have for UK virtual in the future and any feedback on what we offer to you. This will be an open mic session, all relevant questions and ideas are welcome and will be discussed during this time.
Meetup 2020 closing meeting – 2000/2130
To finish off our virtual meetup 2020 we will be announcing some exciting plans and developments for the future of UK virtual to all of our members. In addition we will hold our UK virtual supporters quarterly prize draw live, and the meetup 2020 prize draw ( Further information in the survey) There will be a few surprises along the way, therefore you do not want to miss this session!
