Well winter is upon us! It’s time to brush up on those deicing procedures, prepare for those last minute go arounds, and fight against the unpredictable weather upon us. While we go into another phase of uncertainty in the real world, be rest assured that UK virtual is still here for you to escape and take to the air. Flight Operations – UNI154 Ryan
All tours will become live from midnight tonight for our UK virtual members and will be open until the 31st March 2021. For UK virtual supporters you will have until the 15th April 2021! Alot of work has gone into the new tours to ensure, for the first time, that they are ALL compatible with FS2004/FSX/P3D/X-PLANE/MSFS!
In addition to the new tours we have our special “Magic Tour” based around the last tour performed by the original band members of Queen in 1986. Finally Berlin Tegal closes officially next Sunday with the last flight being an Air France departure to Paris CDG. Do join us for our special group flight to mark the event detailed below. I have now completed the combination of Berlin Tegal and Berlin Schonefeld schedules into the brand new Berlin Brandenberg airport. You will still be able to fly into Berlin Tegal using the charter mode function on the flight tracker. Our competition for November is based around the Queen tour! All you have to do is take a screenshot of your UK virtual Queen livery and post it in the screenshots channel with the tag “#itsakindamagic” to be entered into the draw. Technical Operations – UNI548 Tony
This week I pushed a large website change updating the main styling, a complete overhaul of the Tour page, and subtle changes to the Flight Dispatch Centre. More changes are in the works so keep an eye out for my updates on Discord!
Finally I do hope to launch the brand new flight tracker next month, our beta testers have been hard at work with Chris on bugs and changes to make sure we are launching the best flight tracker for our members. When it’s ready, you will know, but the best way to keep up to date is via Discord and of course we will email you when the day final comes. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Chris for his ongoing work with our new flight tracker, his dedication means we can bring a bespoke flight tracker to our UK virtual members.
